Auditions are in the air at RHCR!

AUDITION FOR AN RHCR THEATRE PRODUCTION!

RHCR Theatre production auditions use the following guidelines unless otherwise stated by a specific production.

Who may audition?

Anyone may audition for a production.

Is experience required?

No experience is required.

Where can I find production restrictions?

Please look on the Facebook audition event page or website for individual age restrictions.

When are auditions?

Auditions will  generally be six to eight weeks before the show opens. 

Auditions are held two days in a row.

​

You only need to audition one of the two days.

​

When are Call Backs held?

Call backs will be the day after the final audition date, if needed.

How does RHCR conduct auditions?

Auditions for RHCR productions are conducted using these guidelines:

• Non-Musicals: you will be asked to read from the script. The director(s) is looking for acting ability, character interpretation, and what you personally bring to the role.

Musicals: We break the auditions into 3 parts:

• Singing
• Dancing 
• Script reading 

How  should I  prepare?

• Bring your personal calendar to share conflicts.
• Keep an open mind!
• Musical productions: Check facebook for specifics, but generally we ask that you  come prepared with a verse and chorus of any song of your choosing, in the style of songs from the show. A Bluetooth speaker will be provided for you to play a music track, or you may sing acapella.

When are rehearsals?

Depending on your role, you may not have to be at all rehearsals.

• Stage play 4-6 weeks of rehearsals
• Musicals 5-7 weeks of rehearsals

How much rehearsal time is expected?

Children Productions: Regular rehearsals will be generally be M-F from *6:00-10:00* pm. *Time TBD for each production but within that time frame.  The week or so before the show opens, we will rehearse more. There may be  promo events on the weekends. (*Final rehearsal times and schedule will be at the discretion of the directors)

Adult Productions: Regular rehearsals will be in the evening hours during the week based on Director/cast availability. (Final rehearsal times and schedule will be at the discretion of the directors)
